To prevent shingles a new vaccination is available from November 1st 2023.
This is Shingrix and is free to over 65 year old patients. It requires 2 vaccinations.
If you have had a free Zostavax in the past 5 years you cannot get the Shingrix for free until 5 years after your Zostavax.
